I got this as an alternative to synthetic shirts (I have LL Bean shirts that fit perfectly but I'm trying not to buy polyester), and a cheaper alternative to merino wool shirts. I mainly use these for short hikes while using a hiking baby carrier. The shirt itself felt a bit big at first, but once I put it on I loved the way it drapes. I am not skinny, and the size medium fits really well around my shoulders and arms, and loosely over the rest of my body but it never looks baggy. I think this is because of the material. It's very soft, way softer than I expected, and very smooth, and it also has some weight to it. It's not the lightest shirt I own, but this weight makes the shirt drape over the body without being tight fitting in any awkward way. Moreover, because I use an Osprey baby carrier, I have to buckle the chest harness and the hip strap. The shirt is generously long so even when wearing the baby carrier, it still looks decent and flattering. I will be buying more in the future. For sure don't size up. The only slightly negative I would add is that the neck is very wide. It feels very comfortable to wear, but I do have to put extra sunscreen around the neck area. This might be of concern to people who want to cover up because of previous skin damage due to the sun.
